Ocean State University (OSU) is conducting its annual cross country banquet at the end of the month. Tempo, a sophomore student-athlete on the team, achieved First Team All-America honors this year, so his parents and two siblings would like to attend the banquet.  Is it permissible for OSU to provide complimentary admissions to Tempo’s family members?

Yes.

Would the answer remain the same if Tempo was a student-athlete at James River Institute or Country Roads College?
